EVENT - The Hostages of Dragonspiral

Who: Martin Crieff (OU), Hazel Hawthorn, 'The Magician', Reiza, Yuusei
What: The kidnapped trainers and breeders awaken, joined by four others...
When: Day of the Kidnapping
Where: Dragonspiral Tower - The blocked rooms.
Warnings: None

Those who paid attention to the news will recall that a section of Dragonspiral was still inaccessible by the public; those kidnapped will now know why.

Waking up, the first thing you will realize is that you're very cold; the tower is quite tall after all, and you're in the peak room of it. There is light coming through cracks in the wall, but more importantly-

'Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeoooooooo...'

A colt pokemon lays injured before the kidnapped group, quite clearly injured by some force. Off to the side, stand three other pokemon, strong, and powerful in appearance.

Virizion of the Forest.

Terrakion of the Earth.

And none other than the kidnapper himself, Cobalion of Steel!

For the moment the pokemon seem to stare with varying levels of expectation, while guarding the only exit from the room. Though they merely stand guard now, they will react if one tries to pull anything they don't like- though admittedly, what they 'don't like' is a bit of an unknown for now, isn't it.

Hazel did not like being cold. It was one of the reasons she usually slept cuddled with her Pokémon. And it's the reason she tried to warm herself with her power before she was awake enough to notice just why she was cold.

The slight red glow caused by her attempt isn't likely to be noticed unless someone looked right at her at the right time. The opportunity was short though as she stopped as soon as she realized she wasn't alone wherever she was. She'd made some progress with being more open about her powers but still... issues.

She just looked uncertainly at the powerful Pokémon in front of her for the moment.

[The first thing that one hears from Yuusei's spot on the floor is a soft, almost keening sort of cry. Poor Veiler's barely been caught for a day, and hates confrontation as it is. The only human-living thing, even-that he knows is out cold, and he's absolutely terrified after waking up. The only thing he remembers is being in Yuusei's arms before they were suddenly swept off, and Yuusei barely being able to hang on as it was.

The little Ralts' terrified crying seems to make Yuusei stir, though, so for him, the first thing he hears when he awakens is the soft wailing, even as he grunts to try and sit up.]

[Icarus is to be seen poking at Martin with a wing for a while before Martin actually moves. When he finally does wake up it's to realise his head is pounding, and with a wince he sits up slowly.

He thinks he passed out not even five minutes into the journey. If that. Which is really very embarrassing but it's hardly as though he could say to the angry, dangerous Pokemon 'Hey, d'you mind not taking me due to medical reasons?'.

As it is, he takes one look around (that odd girly-sounding eep certainly wasn't him, oh no) and really hopes one of the others knows more about what to do than he does.]

[Well, until Reiza had woken up, they would have found her Glameow gladly using her as a pillow. Though, the cat-like Pokémon seemed a bit irritated at the crying of Yuusei's Ralts.

Reiza rolls over once she comes to, then sits up.]
Mmn... What happened...?

Okay, standing up seemed like a good idea. The floor was too cold for Hazel to want to stay sitting on it.

She looked from the injured Pokémon to the three guarding the exit. Did they seriously just kidnap random people for help? That was certainly what it looked like.

"I uh, I think they want us to do something." She feels silly stating something that is probably obvious. Or will be when the others are more awake. However she is not bold enough to go try to do what she thinks they want done. Not without some sort of prompting beyond expectant looks.

And she's reluctant to bring out any of her Pokémon since she isn't sure how they'd react to that.

Nngh.

[Yuusei narrows his eyes as he sits up, but any observation he makes is cut off by him being distracted by Veiler's whimpering, and it's a few minutes before he speaks, cradling the tiny Pokemon close to him.]

It's hurt. [Thank you for stating the obvious, Yuusei. Another narrowing of the eyes, as his gaze settles on Cobalion, then following its line of sight to the injured Keldeo. His eyes soften in concern.]

Perhaps they want help...
mediocrespells: (Hazel... -.-)

"Aren't there better ways to get help?" Yeah, Hazel is a little cranky. Who wouldn't be after being kidnapped? She's still inclined to try to help the injured Pokémon though. But she never bothered to have more than a few potions on hand and that is probably not enough.

Good thing she has other ways if the others don't have anything more useful. Not that she even knows whether this is beyond her skill yet...

"What could have hurt it?" She takes a few tentative steps closer to try to get a better look at the injuries.

what is a posting order i certainly don't know

It isn't always easy to think rationally in a crisis.

[He says that, but his mouth is tucked into a scowl of disapproval. He steps closer as well, much more firmly and confidently despite Veiler's scared mewling.]

Re: hahahah at this point it's a free for all.

Hazel has done some irrational things when under stress so, she doesn't disagree.

More importantly a closer look at the injured Pokémon worries her.

"That doesn't look normal." The fact that they haven't been attacked yet is good. She'll just walk over at a more normal pace now. The thought occurs that the normal healing items available for Pokémon might not be effective. It probably wouldn't hurt to try them anyway though, right?

Mn. The best thing to do, before anything, is to make sure this Pokemon is stable, physically if not anything else.

[Thank god Yuusei was wearing his backpack when he was kidnapped. There should at least be some basic first aid kit there.]
mediocrespells: (Hazel... -.-)

[personal profile] mediocrespells 2012-12-09 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
Regular first aid is not really Hazel's thing. She still wasn't used to not having her mother around to instantly heal anything worse than a small cut. That's why she fishes out a potion and decides to give it a shot instead of trying to mess with bandages.

And while she's close she'll try to feel out the injury with magic even though she's not really good as sensing things that way yet. Failure was quite likely there.

Hopefully no one will notice if she seems to space out for a few seconds. She'd rather not try to explain what she's doing if it doesn't even work.

[Thankfully, Yuusei is too deeply absorbed in trying to patch up the injuries to notice anyone spacing out. Even if he did, he would probably think nothing of it. After all, he did say himself that it was difficult to keep level head in such a situation.

He may not be the best doctor, but Martha's drilled the basics of first aid into his head. It was necessary in a place like Satellite. First, to clean the wounds and make sure they're not infected.]

[personal profile] mediocrespells 2012-12-09 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, Hazel's seeming space-out only lasted a few seconds. She didn't get much from her attempt. Not enough to really help anyway. More reason to practice later.

And she can't quite tell if the regular potion didn't help or if it's just that weak. She doesn't carry anything better though. She shoves the empty container in her pocket.

"Do you think stronger potions would help?" She's still worried about how odd the injuries seem to be. It was starting to look like she'd have to try healing magic.

Perhaps...

[His face doesn't look sure, though, if his knotted brows are any indication. Meanwhile, he's applying what medicines he has to the wounds before trying to bandage them.]

Hopefully this won't sting too much...
usedroughlanding: (Are you even listening to me?)

[personal profile] usedroughlanding 2012-12-10 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
[Martin just ends up standing awkwardly from the sidelines, for the most part. He has neither special abilities (outside of how to fly a plane) or anything much more than basic medical knowledge, mostly human-based, which wasn't worth much even at the best of times.

He didn't have any of the more expensive potions or supplies from here, either.]

Er... if there's anything I can do, just, say so. Even if it's not much.
mediocrespells: (Sad)

[personal profile] mediocrespells 2012-12-12 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm not really good with bandages." Hazel has no clue if Yuusei needs help with that or if Martin is any good with first aid. She's just gonna move out of the way for now anyway. She goes closer to the Keldeo's head. The muttering is worrying even if she has no clue that it doesn't make sense in Poké speak either.

"Delirious?" There are a lot of possible causes for that. "Um, maybe fever, infection, poison... possession, curse..." She's obviously not comfortable bringing up the last two possibilities and is almost hoping no one heard her.

She's not sure whether it's a stupid thing to reach out and try to touch the Pokémon's face but, that's what she's going to do.
mediocrespells: (Hazel... -.-)

[personal profile] mediocrespells 2012-12-17 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
Hazel quickly draws her hand back and frowns. For all they knew these wounds wouldn't heal on their own. Better to try something sooner rather than later but still, she hesitates.

And Cloud lets himself out of his Poké ball. He's making sure to not do anything threatening.

He pokes at her with a paw and gives her a steady look. 'Try.'

Hazel barely heard the word. Cloud's been trying to talk to her this way for a while. At least she thinks he has. It was apparently something a lot of psychic Pokémon could do.

At any rate she could guess what he wanted her to try. She glances at Cobalion and the other people in the tower and sighs. Since the alternative seems to be watching the injured Pokémon suffer she's going to try ignoring her discomfort with doing magic in front of people.

"Just.. make sure they know what I'm doing." They meaning the kidnapping Pokémon. Wouldn't do if they thought she was trying something harmful.

She reaches out again, this time not quite touching the Keldeo.

Cloud nods. He'll make sure.

And despite knowing she probably doesn't have enough energy for this Hazel will start to gather her power to heal. She'll stop before she passes out or something though.
