What: Hamano decided to sneak off, but at least he left a note...

The only evidence that Hamano had been at the Pokémon Center that morning was a note left that said something about him going off to look in Wellspring Cave. It had taken Hamano a while to get there but the visit to the cave was well worth the trouble.

Should Hayami come in now, he'll find his friend playing with a wild Squirtle that he ran into...

Which means he's letting out a sigh and sitting next to Hamano, of course.]

Not yet. Still technically haven't caught him. [He looks down at the Squirtle.] How does "Zenigame" sound, li'l guy?

"Squir!"

All right, Zenigame it is.

You mean he just... kind of joined your team? You didn't even catch him?

[Sounds like someone else he knows -]

I think he wanted to let himself be caught after we were through playing. [He looks at the Squirtle, who nods.]

[Squirtle gets a headpat then! And a berry, if he wants it -]

Hama-kun did the same thing, kind of... he started following me around and helping me out. I guess I still need a Pokeball for him...

[Speaking of - he's toddling over and flopping next to them with a "bui!"]

Haha, really? How cute. [Oh! Well, Hama's being greeted with a "Squir!" from the small turtle.]

And Hamano doesn't seem to pay much attention to the statement, having apparently gotten used to the idea of Hayami's Pokemon being named after him. He'll just rub the Squirtle's head in the meantime.]
